SSA Format Guide & Converter

SubStation Alpha is the predecessor to ASS with similar Dialogue event lines, introduced by Open / community standards (—). SSA uses ScriptType v4.00 and a slightly different Styles section than ASS. Cue text and timing still convert cleanly to SRT/VTT on Format Convertly.
