What is 7Z?
7-Zip archive format is an open archive format from 7-Zip with excellent compression (LZMA/LZMA2), created by Igor Pavlov / 7-Zip (1999). 7Z often compresses better than ZIP for source trees and documents. ZIP still wins for universal double-click sharing on Windows and macOS.
